Two months old

David is now two months old (plus a few days, I guess) though it seems like he's been around a lot longer than that. He likes to be held and is seriously cute when he coos, which is often. David weighed 14 pounds at his checkup a few days ago--what a chunk! Here he is, napping in the sun like a true desert baby:

I couldn't ask for a sweeter baby, especially for a third child (not that I'm exactly saying my older two can drain my energy, but...). When I'm out and about with just him, people always assume he's my first and say "enjoy him while he's little; they grow up so fast!" Believe me, I know, people. I am in no rush for this little guy to grow up.

John said the other day, "Let's keep him!" and I agree!

this week...

...I celebrated another year of life on Tuesday--26 years old now

...had some down time at the cabin with my husband and kids. Havilah was a little high strung (ok, a lot) but we still enjoyed being out of town and the sensation of cold air.

...bought the kids some pumpkins on the side of the road in Flagstaff.

...the kids and I had fun at the park tonight with all of the Phoenix area family, celebrating the October birthdays. David was passed around a bit--he's very snugly!

...(well, a few weeks ago) David began smiling and rolling over. Now I am looking forward to hearing him laugh!

...we are making a routine that involves all five of us, being productive, enjoying family time, and growing as people. Wish us luck! (-:

siblings

David is one patient baby, I'm telling you...

He's well loved and receives plenty of affection; it will be a good day when he can stand up for himself and join in the play--rather than being the toy!! (-:
